La Jolla Shores real estate is located closest to the main freeway than any other La Jolla coastal community.  The 52 freeway runs east directly out of the La Jolla Shores area, then you can take the 5 freeway to get up and down the coast easily.  This makes for more commute options starting from a very central part of the county.  You can also access Del Mar and Torrey Pines State Park very easily by staying on the coast, enjoying a wonderfully scenic drive above the Torrey Pines grade.
